ErlangCalc is a handy utility for common call center calculations. Erlang calculators are designed to compute the number of lines and agents required to handle peak call volumes. ErlangB is used for blocking situations, when a caller will get a busy signal. ErlangC is used in situations where a caller will sit on hold. Simply enter the peak volume, the average length of a call and either average blocking rate or hold time. Your iPhone will compute the number of lines or agents using the widely-accepted Erlang formulas.
This application can also be used in similar situations where an infinite/unknown population is trying to access limited resources.
